:bulletblue:How To Join:bulletblue:

  1. By joining this club, you AGREE to the rules provided, and will abide by them as a member.
  2. To join, press 'join' on the front page. The 'Join' button is at the top of the #La4C front page in the blue banner.
  3. Members who frequently break these rules and prove themselves incapable of providing constructively to the #La4C community will be removed from the club roster and added to the club's blocked list.

:bulletblue:GENERAL RULES:bulletblue:

  1. MEMBERS can submit their line work to the #La4C gallery. ANYONE can color.
  2. Submitting line art or color work that is not yours to the club will result in an immediate report to the deviantART administration and a permanent block to the #La4C.
    • Attention line artists: this includes tracing. Any tracings will be immediately declined. You do not get a second chance for this type of violation.
  3. All images supplied in the #La4C gallery and subsequent collections are protected by their respective copyright holders, and uploaded with the direct consent of their original artists. They are open for others to color. Not stealing. You only get to call the image yours when you're done coloring it. Even then you are still responsible to properly credit the original line artist when it's done, and are subject to the demands of the original artist as they still retain their Intellectual Property Rights.

:bulletblue:Line Art Submission Guidlines:bulletblue:

  1. We DO NOT require line arts to be inked, but they MUST be clean. They must also be of a certain "color-able" quality and predominately black and white. A colorist must be able to color it. Silhouettes will not be accepted.
    • Images need to be larger than 800 pixels in either height or width. Only one dimension needs to exceed 800 pixels; not both.
      • :new:Pixel lineart is the only exception to the 800 px size requirement.
  2. We accept both fan art and original art. You may not, however, create fan art of original works in our gallery or collections without the direct consent of the original artist.
    • Due to an influx of tracings, Naruto lines will no longer be accepted. This is not a hate against Naruto fan art, but that the majority of submission seemed to be traced lately, and if you read #3 in the General Rules section, we do not accept traces!
    • :new:If we suspect that the line art has been traced or heavily-referenced from a manga scan or anime still, we will be automatically declining it with no discussion.  (Please see this journal regarding this rule.)
  3. The line art MUST be your own. You may not contribute someone else's line art for them or claim it as your own. If the line art was a collaborative effort, ensure that you credit them as well as yourself in the image description when submitting it to the club.
    • If you have used another deviant's pencils, be sure that you have asked their permission and that you mention that you have permission to ink their work in your Artist's Comments section.
  4. If you have a piece that you feel needs to have a "Maturity" stamp on it, please submit it to the correct folder. (That is the one named Mature Lines).
  5. Images that use the gigantic deviantART watermark will not be uploaded. Use a non-invasive water-mark. This means, something that is small, off to the side, and very subtle.
    • Also, please ensure that the download option is enabled for submission ease.

:bulletblue:Rules for Coloring #La4C Images:bulletblue:

  1. You MAY NOT alter line art without express permission from the individual artist.
  2. You MAY change the title of your colored work.
  3. You MUST give credit to the original artist when posting colored works in your gallery, in the form of a direct link to the line art that is in the group gallery folders. Stating the original artist's name as well is nice, but not required by us (though it may be by the artist).
  4. You MAY NOT remove the original artist's watermark/signature from your colored work. This is altering the image, and must have permission from the line artist.
  5. The line art used must also be in our line art gallery.

Failure to abide by these provisions may result in your colored version being removed by deviantArt administrators. These rules don't exist to hold you back and keep the #La4C staff dodging boredom by hunting violators. They are to protect you, your gallery, and your reputation in the art community. Please be mindful of the feelings of other artists, practice humility, be humble, and above all else, enjoy yourself by partaking in this ever-expanding collection of thousands of images!

What is the size requirement for line art submissions? I'm not seeing it.
